Program participants have the option to upgrade their accomodations to a private room, a suite or stay with a local host family.
Private Room Yellow House upgrade $110.00 / wk
Shared Room (for couples and friends) Yellow House upgrade $70.00 / wk per person
Private Suite Volunteer Inn $110.00
Shared Suite (For family and friends) Volunteer Inn $85.00 / wk per person
Host Family Homestay Private upgrade $150.00 / wk
Host Family Homestay shared (for family and friends) upgrade $130.00 / wk per person
All rooms are air conditioned. The Volunteer Inn suite has an integrated kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, induction stove and appliances. The Volunteer Inn Guest House has a full kitchen for guest to use.
The Host Family homestay upgrade includes served breakfast and Dinner
In the case you have made alternative accommodation arrangement for your stay in Merida, we can include you in the program and provide program orientation, city orientation and placement orientation and support for $300 dollar registration fee. You will need to meet Institute of Modern Spanish staff at the Volunteer Inn guest house for orientation of your Monday start date. We will take you to placement on Tuesday morning.
Volunteer activities are open to all Institute of Modern Spanish that are registered for Spanish to 20 hrs of classes. The cost of 20hrs of Spanish instruction is $360.00 dollars (Classes only).
